Funeral Service Announced for Rohn Allen Bedford

Funeral service for Rohn Allen Bedford, 70, of Anniston, will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Anniston Memorial Gardens.Rohn passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Epps; and his father, Clark Bedford.Left to cherish the memory of Rohn is his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Bedford; daughter, Stephanie O’Barr (Brant); grandchildren, Kenleigh Epps, Riley Epps, Addi O’Barr, Jacob O’Barr; great grandchild, Laker O’Barr; his sister, Kim Hudgins and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Bedford went to church at Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus and strived daily to live like Jesus. He was a lifelong resident of Wellborn, loved to support Wellborn, and was proud to be a Panther. He was an avid Fisherman. Mr. Bedford was a loving Husband, Father and Paw Paw. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Funeral service for Alvin Clay Robertson, 92, of White Plains, will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home starting at 11:00 AM. Rev. Garry Brown and Danny Shears will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in St. Clair Memorial Gardens in Pell City.Mr. Robertson passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Robertson; wife, Mary Elizabeth Robertson; daughter, Leigh Clements; and his son, Alvin Luther Robertson.He leaves behind his step children, Ruth Tubb (Alan), Stephen Grantham (Sherry), and Mark Grantham (Renee); grandchildren, Heather Wynn (Kevin), Amy Clements, Rebecca Grantham, Sarah Inzetta (John), Madison Holloway, and Jared Holloway; great grandchildren, Mitch Wynn, Harper Wynn, Charleigh Clements, AJ Scott, and Matthew Inzetta; his sister, Peggy Jo Freeman; his friend whom he loved like a son, Danny Shears; and a host of nieces and nephews.Alvin was born on October 7, 1933, in Calhoun County, Alabama. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He was a member of Jacksonville First United Methodist Church and loved the Lord. He co-founded the Over the Hill Gang and the White Plains Alumni Association. He played in the first game of the Calhoun County basketball tournament in 1951 and was recognized on the 75th anniversary as a legend of the game. He served for 25 years over the voter polls in White Plains.Pallbearers will be Tab Robertson, Kevin Wynn, Mitch Wynn, Frank Patterson, Leon Seals and Stanley Barnwell.In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Over the Hill Gang or to the White Plains Alumni Association.

Funeral services to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Elaine Burt Stratton, 94, of Lincoln, will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Wes Savage will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Saturday. Mrs. Stratton will be laid to rest immediately following the service in Lincoln Cemetery.Mrs. Stratton gained her eternal reward, meeting her Lord and Savior face to face, on Monday, May 18, 2026.She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Stratton; two brothers, Joe Burt (Jean) and James Burt (Ruth); and two sisters-in-law, Brenda Burt and Margie Burt.Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Stratton include her two sons, Steve Stratton (Laura) and Kenny Stratton (Pam); her grandchildren, Josh Stratton, Jordan Stratton, Brent Stratton, Macy Walters (Kollin), and Shelby Stratton; three brothers, Walter Burt, Gilbert Burt (Louise), and Bill Burt; and many nieces and nephews.Mrs. Stratton was a devoted Christian and was faithful in her walk with the Lord. She was a member of New Life Methodist Church.In her spare time, Mrs. Stratton enjoyed traveling with her late husband, spending time with her grandchildren, and gardening.She was dearly loved by her family and in return, she deeply loved them. Mrs. Stratton will be greatly missed, but forever remembered for the wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister she was.Pallbearers for Mrs. Stratton will be family members and friends.

Burial will follow the chapel service in Maple Grove Cemetery.Mr. Strickland passed away on May 28, 2026, at his home. He is preceded in death by his wife, Guinell Strickland; his parents, Gaston Spurgon and Frances Matilda Strickland; brother, Charles Strickland; and his sister, Lorane Hill.He is survived by his children, Robert Strickland (Terri), Kevin Strickland (Lorie), and Tracey Gaddy (Tim); grandchildren, Bradlee Strickland (Julie), Leslee Strickland (Ryan), Cody Strickland (Hannah), Allison Whisenant (Colton), Shyann Stubbs (Thomas), Cason Gaddy (Laycie), Brandon Gaddy, and Wesley Gaddy (Maggie); 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Robert was born on August 13, 1935, in Anniston, Alabama and was a lifelong resident of Parkwood Drive. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He worked as a millwright and retired from the local 1192 Birmingham Millwright Association. He was a loving father and grandfather and will forever be missed.Those service as pallbearers will be Robert Strickland, Kevin Strickland, Bradlee Strickland, Cody Strickland, Cason Gaddy, and Brandon Gaddy. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Jenson and Troy Hill Sr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Lovella Brimer; husband, Raymond David Johnson Sr.; and her brothers, Wallace Brimer and Steve Brimer.Those left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Johnson are her son, Raymond David Johnson Jr. (Kim); grandchildren, Dawson Ray Johnson (Katie) and Molly Kate Cox (Connor); her siblings, Brenda Barnett, Sharon Haynes, Jean Moore, Shirley Sanford, and Berry Brimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.Those serving as pallbearers will be Shane Mintz, Dewayne Wiggins, Connor Cox, Patrick Sams, Kevin Brown, and Preston Brown.Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Plains and loved the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Helen Sparks Boyd; niece, Katie Lynne Boyd.He leaves behind his brother, Dr. David Boyd (Lisa); nephew, Casey Boyd (Jamey); aunts, Joyce Terry, and Sue Lee; uncle, Harold Sparks; and several cousins.Mark was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weaver. He was a native of Anniston and went to Weaver High School and graduated in 1987. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and loved to fish. He was a loyal employee of CVG. Robert Eugene Davis, 87 of Anniston, Alabama, passed away on April 24,2026, at his home in Anniston.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Windell P. Davis. Sons Stephen Davis (Sandra) Marc Davis and Andy Davis (Jennifer). Grandchildren Stephanie Davis (Clint) Laura Spurling (Ryan) Candace Simone (Daniel) Tracie Wooten (David) Zach Davis, Brandon Giaidina (Catalina) Great Grandchildren Cash, Caden and Eden Davis, Adeline and Griffin Spurlin, Bella Branham, Ottilie Wooten and Scarlett Giaidina.He was preceded in death by his parents Herman C. Davis and Norma J. Davis.Robert was a retired teacher at Welborn Elementary School and was also former head basketball coach at Munford High School and Berry High School.Robert was a lifelong Auburn and St. Louis Cardinal fan. His love for sports was instilled in his sons who became fans of daddy’s favorite teams.His greatest gift was leading by example and instilling in his sons the yearning to study the word of God and become followers of Jesus Christ just like daddy.Although we are heartbroken at his passing, we take great comfort in knowing that we will see him again when we are all in the presence of the Lord.Graveside services will be Monday, April 27, 2026, 2:00 pm at Maple Grove Cemetery with  Dr. Roland Brown  officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.James passed away on April 29, 2026, at home with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Fay Hardy; parents, Winston E. and Lillian Hardy; and his sister, Iva Bryant.He leaves behind his son, Jamie Hardy (Lana); step daughters, Sandy Henderson (Kenny) and Connie Elder; grandchildren, Josh Henderson, Drake Hardy, and Hayden Hardy; sisters, Mary Morrison (Brayden) and Sherron Harden (Tollie); brother, Leon Hardy; nieces, Teresa Carpenter (Jim), Lisa Hocker (David), and Stacey Morrison; and many other family and friends.James was born in Jacksonville on December 16, 1945. He served in the United States Navy and worked as a supervisor at Anniston Army Depot for 39 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. James enjoyed cars and tractors and enjoyed going fishing. His favorite thing in life was being a granddad to all his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Jerry Starling will be officiating.Ed passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by family.He was a loving father to Linda Clay (Travis), Cindy Veazey (Neal), and Eddie Jacobs (Shaney); a loving grandfather to Mandi Clay, Jordan Foster (Justin), Kacey Treadaway (Bradley), Garrett Veazey (Ashley), and Cody Jacobs; a loving great-grandfather to Easton Veazey, Everleigh Veazey, Braxon Foster, and Brady Foster; a loving brother to Pat Williamson; a loving uncle to Tammy Brown and Darla Smith (Alan); and a loving great-uncle to several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Cody Jacobs, Garrett Veazey, Justin Foster, Bradley Treadaway, and Neal Veazey.Ed was born on November 30, 1935, in Bellaire, Ohio and made his way to Anniston, Alabama through his service in the United States Army, while stationed at Fort McClellan.After Ed left the Army, he worked several years at Lenlock Drugs in Anniston. Ed then went on to work at Union Foundry in Anniston, where he earned the nickname “Yank”, and retired after 30 years.Ed was known for his generosity, kindness, and diversity. He wanted everyone to be treated equally and with fairness. Ed taught his family the value of hard work and compassion toward others.Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jacobs; his parents, Zelda and Edward Thomas Jacobs, Sr.; and his son-in-law, Travis Clay.Ed was dearly loved by so many and will be deeply missed.Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), Anniston-Oxford Chapter #98, 1810 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow the service in Rabbittown Baptist Church Cemetery.Mandy was born on January 26, 1979, and peacefully passed away at UAB, while surrounded by loved ones, on May 3, 2026, at 4:11 PM.Mandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Melvin and Minnie L. Brown; and Harvey D. and Lovie Bell Langford; as well as two aunts and one uncle.Mandy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Lance K. Braden; her three daughters, Emily Sanders (Broxton), Sydney Braden, and Piper Leigh Braden; her parents, Harvey G. and Debbie Langford; her sister, April Nichols (David); two nephews, Preston and Branson Williamson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly; and friends in abundance.Pallbearers will be family members and friends.Mandy had many passions during her life, but her family was number one. She always made family trips a priority. Mandy enjoyed spending time cooking and particularly enjoyed music as her escape. She loved her animals and her garden. Mandy’s time was spent sacrificially. She loved her church fiercely and actively participated in missions with kids and the baptism ministry. Her volunteer work was always appreciated at the Baptist Service Center. Above all, Mandy loved her Savior and spoke of Him daily, always remaining a humble servant.In lieu of flowers, the family requests for all donations or love offerings to be made to the Anniston First Baptist Mission Fund, 851 Morton Road, Anniston, AL 36205.
