Funeral service for Violet Johnson, 79, of Choccolocco, will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of White Plains starting 3:00 PM with Rev. Eric Snider officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow the service in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.Mrs. Johnson passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Lovella Brimer; husband, Raymond David Johnson Sr.; and her brothers, Wallace Brimer and Steve Brimer.Those left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Johnson are her son, Raymond David Johnson Jr. (Kim); grandchildren, Dawson Ray Johnson (Katie) and Molly Kate Cox (Connor); her siblings, Brenda Barnett, Sharon Haynes, Jean Moore, Shirley Sanford, and Berry Brimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.Those serving as pallbearers will be Shane Mintz, Dewayne Wiggins, Connor Cox, Patrick Sams, Kevin Brown, and Preston Brown.Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Plains and loved the Lord. She worked at Anniston Sportswear until her retirement. She was a loving mother, a devoted mother and grandmother and will forever be missed.In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the First Baptist Church of White Plains building fund.
