Funeral service for Robert Strickland, 90, of Anniston, will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Ronny Moore and Rev. Danny Rodriguez will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the chapel service in Maple Grove Cemetery.Mr. Strickland passed away on May 28, 2026, at his home. He is preceded in death by his wife, Guinell Strickland; his parents, Gaston Spurgon and Frances Matilda Strickland; brother, Charles Strickland; and his sister, Lorane Hill.He is survived by his children, Robert Strickland (Terri), Kevin Strickland (Lorie), and Tracey Gaddy (Tim); grandchildren, Bradlee Strickland (Julie), Leslee Strickland (Ryan), Cody Strickland (Hannah), Allison Whisenant (Colton), Shyann Stubbs (Thomas), Cason Gaddy (Laycie), Brandon Gaddy, and Wesley Gaddy (Maggie); 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Robert was born on August 13, 1935, in Anniston, Alabama and was a lifelong resident of Parkwood Drive. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He worked as a millwright and retired from the local 1192 Birmingham Millwright Association. He was a loving father and grandfather and will forever be missed.Those service as pallbearers will be Robert Strickland, Kevin Strickland, Bradlee Strickland, Cody Strickland, Cason Gaddy, and Brandon Gaddy. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Jenson and Troy Hill Sr.
