Funeral service for Mr. James C. Hardy, 80, of Jacksonville will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Derek Staples will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.James passed away on April 29, 2026, at home with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Fay Hardy; parents, Winston E. and Lillian Hardy; and his sister, Iva Bryant.He leaves behind his son, Jamie Hardy (Lana); step daughters, Sandy Henderson (Kenny) and Connie Elder; grandchildren, Josh Henderson, Drake Hardy, and Hayden Hardy; sisters, Mary Morrison (Brayden) and Sherron Harden (Tollie); brother, Leon Hardy; nieces, Teresa Carpenter (Jim), Lisa Hocker (David), and Stacey Morrison; and many other family and friends.James was born in Jacksonville on December 16, 1945. He served in the United States Navy and worked as a supervisor at Anniston Army Depot for 39 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. James enjoyed cars and tractors and enjoyed going fishing. His favorite thing in life was being a granddad to all his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
