Crawford County Seeks New Highway Department Administrator
Crawford County is seeking candidates for the Highway Department Administrator position. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the County Administrator and Board of County Commissioners. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all activities of the Crawford County Highway Department. The Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and construction of all county trunk highways and local roads, as well as the county's fleet of vehicles and equipment. Key duties involve budget development and management, personnel supervision, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field, with significant experience in highway management and supervision. Senior Nutrition Programs includes: Senior Dining Centers Home Delivered Meals NEW! Restaurant-model dining Programs provide nutritious meals meeting one third of recommended dietary needs to persons 60+ in Waukesha County. The menu is developed by a registered dietician and is the same for both programs. August 2026 Menu September 2026 Menu My Meal My Way Menu - "the" Kitchen "My Meal, My Way" - ADRC of Waukesha County Senior Dining Senior Dining Eligibility and Registration Senior Dining Centers are at five (5) sites throughout Waukesha County. Social, recreational, and educational activities are also provided at the dining center. Eligibility: Senior Dining Centers are open to individuals age 60 or older and their spouse, regardless of spouse's age. Registration: Reservations are required. Please call the dining center where you wish to eat no later than 11:00am the business day prior. If the dining center is closed, call the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Waukesha County (ADRC) at (262) 548-7826. Transportation to the dining centers may be available through the ADRC Shared-Fare Taxi and RideLine programs for $2.00 each way. This fare subsidy must be authorized in advance. Call the ADRC at (262) 548-7848 for more information. Limited government grants cover a part of the meal costs. We accept confidential donations at each dining center. The suggested minimum contribution is $5.00. No eligible client will be denied a meal because of inability to contribute. How It Works when you arrive at "the" Kitchen in Sussex: Sign in with My Meal, My Way program staff. Place your contribution in the My Meal, My Way contribution box. The assessment provides information to determine if the person meets the eligibility requirements for meals to begin. The applicant will be notified once eligibility is determined. Funding and Donations Funding helps support the cost of meals. Voluntary contributions from participants help us continue serving older adults throughout the community. A suggested minimum contribution of $6.00 per meal is discussed during the in-home assessment. Contributions to help offset the cost of meals are essential to maintaining nutrition services for our community’s older adults. A monthly donation statement is mailed to the client indicating the approximate value of the meals served and a confidential contribution can be mailed to the ADRC office. Volunteer for 'Keep Marinette Beautiful' Cleanup Day on May 4
Marinette County invites all residents to participate in the annual 'Keep Marinette Beautiful' community cleanup day. This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024, beginning at 9:00 AM. Volunteers are asked to convene at the Marinette County Fairgrounds, from where they will be deployed to various locations to assist in tidying up local parks, riverfront areas, and other public spaces throughout the county. Gloves, trash bags, and other necessary supplies will be provided to all participants. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible difference in our community.

Welcome! The Zoning and Planning Department is responsible for providing technical assistance on topics related to land use, planning, zoning administration, building permits, inspections, and economic development. Conducts long-range planning projects. Reviews development proposals. Enforces the building codes, issues permits and conducts inspections of all phases of construction to ensure that building regulations are being met to protect the safety, health, and welfare of residents. Serves as the liaison to the Village's Building Board and Plan Commission.
