Welcome! The Zoning and Planning Department is responsible for providing technical assistance on topics related to land use, planning, zoning administration, building permits, inspections, and economic development. Are you looking for: Building Board Checklists (Architectural Review Board) Building Permits Building Inspections Certified Survey Map Approval Code of Ordinances Comprehensive Plan Discretionary Zoning Approvals GIS Map - Asset Ally Portable Storage Container Permit Public GIS Maps and Data Hub Plan Commission Temporary Sign and Banner Permits Zoning Map Outdoor Lighting The Zoning and Planning Department: Administers the Village's codes and standards as set forth in the Village Code of Ordinances, specifically Chapter 335 Zoning. Conducts long-range planning projects. Reviews development proposals. Enforces the building codes, issues permits and conducts inspections of all phases of construction to ensure that building regulations are being met to protect the safety, health, and welfare of residents. Ordinances approved by the Board of Trustees can be viewed under New Laws within the Village Code of Ordinances or go to: Government > Code of Ordinances > New Laws. These will be incorporated in the Code of Ordinances twice a year in approx. September and March. Enacted Resolutions can be viewed under the Village Code of Ordinances > Public Documents > Resolutions

Plan Commission Meetings 6:00 PM First Monday of each month Court Room Agendas & Minutes Agendas and Minutes are available through the Agenda Center. Members Citizen members serve a three-year term. The Trustee representative serves a one-year term. It is the responsibility of the Plan Commission to consider and make recommendations on various land use and zoning matters. Specific matters heard before the Plan Commission include the following: Comprehensive Plan Certified Survey Maps (PDF) RezoningEach zoning category (use district) has different permitted and conditional uses, as well as regulations and requirements.
