Residents are urged to complete all preparations for severe weather as soon as possible.
Strong winds are expected, with forecasts of 25-35 mph and gusts up to 55 mph. There is a potential for winds reaching 58 to 73 mph, which could cause significant damage to roofing, siding, and outbuildings, and uproot trees. Move to safe shelter before winds become hazardous. Unsecured lightweight objects can become dangerous projectiles.
A Flood Watch is also in effect. Rainfall of 1-3 inches, with locally higher amounts, is anticipated, posing a risk for moderate flooding. Rivers and streams may swell, leading to potential evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings. Driving conditions may become hazardous with some road and bridge closures.
Furthermore, conditions are favorable for several tornadoes, some potentially intense. Residents in manufactured homes or boats should relocate to safe shelter before hazardous weather arrives.
