Rip Current Statement for Coastal Palm Beach County through Saturday

A Rip Current Statement and Coastal Flood Statement are in effect for Coastal Palm Beach County, warning of dangerous rip currents through Saturday evening and isolated minor coastal flooding through Saturday morning.

Coastal Palm Beach County residents and visitors are advised of a Rip Current Statement and Coastal Flood Statement issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Miami FL. These advisories are in effect starting October 9 at 7:15 PM EDT and extend through Saturday evening for rip currents, and through Saturday morning for coastal flooding.

A High Rip Current Risk is in effect through Saturday evening. Dangerous rip currents can sweep even strong swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Swimmers should swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float, do not swim against the current. If possible, swim parallel to the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Additionally, a Coastal Flood Statement warns of isolated minor coastal flooding through Saturday morning. This may result in some water on low-lying roads and properties. Drivers are instructed not to drive through flooded roadways.
