Rip Current Risk High for Coastal Palm Beach County
A High Rip Current Risk and isolated minor coastal flooding are in effect for Coastal Palm Beach County until 8:00 PM EDT tonight, issued by the National Weather Service.
Coastal Palm Beach County residents and visitors are advised to avoid flooded roadways and swim near lifeguards due to a High Rip Current Risk and isolated minor coastal flooding.
The National Weather Service (NWS) Miami FL has issued a Rip Current Statement effective immediately, October 10 at 12:53 AM EDT, until 8:00 PM EDT tonight, October 10. This affects all coastal areas of Palm Beach County.
The NWS reports that dangerous rip currents are expected throughout the day. Additionally, isolated minor coastal flooding is possible through Sunday morning, which may result in water on low-lying roads and properties.
If caught in a rip current, the NWS advises to relax and float. Do not swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
