Bonnie and Clyde Days to be Held October 10, 2026 in Pilot Point, Texas
For Immediate Release Bonnie and Clyde Days to be Held October 10, 2026 in Pilot Point, Texas Family-Friendly FREE Festival to Feature Film Reenactment, Soap Box Challenge, Live Entertainment, Children’s Entertainment, Crafts, Food PILOT POINT, TEXAS – Pilot Point’s Main Street Program announced that its 16th-annual Bonnie and Clyde Days Festival will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 on the Historic Pilot Point Square. The festival starts at 2 p.m. and runs through 9 p.m. LOCATION: Pilot Point, Texas is 11 miles north of Denton on 377. BACKGROUND: The annual festival is held to commemorate the day Hollywood Came to Pilot Point, when the Warner Bros film “Bonnie and Clyde” shot its famous bank robbery scene at the historic Farmers & Merchants Bank Building. Filming occurred in 1967 for the classic film, which starred Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. In addition to the movie filming, Pilot Point was a known hideout of the REAL Bonnie and Clyde and the Barrow Gang. Local legend has it that a family member lived in the area and offered the gang a safe haven. BANK ROBBERY RE-ENACTMENT: The featured event – the annual “Bank Robbery Scene Reenactment”, will be a must-see event! Times to be released. This year's Reenactment is proudly championed by FMB Legacy and directed by Starbright Center for the Arts. FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS: During the all-day festival, Pilot Point becomes a piece of living history with 1930's-era family fun! Festivalgoers step back in time with a fleet of Model As. Attendees enjoy family fun, pie-eating contest, craft and food vendors, live musical entertainment throughout the day, and a FREE Kids Zone featuring a Ninja Project Obstacle Course, Rollcade Game Truck Kids Zone and a face painter. At Starbright Center for the Arts, the film will be showing all day on their movie screen and they will have a History Walk with information on the filming during the festival. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, including local musicians, dance troupes and more! CONCERT DETAILS: This year, we are mixing it up with a selection of Tribute Bands! Be at the Main Stage for Reputation: the Taylor Swift Tribute Band, followed by Hotel Mac Doobie, a band performing the best of the 1970s! They are supported by performances by local artists Vince Lujan and Tabitha Tepfer and students from the Starbright Center for the Arts. City Council Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the City Hall.
Main Street
We envision downtown Pilot Point as the heart of the community; where history is preserved, business thrives, and visitors feel welcome. We work diligently to bring visitors and residents alike to downtown to shop, eat and enjoy their time in Pilot Point. We offer festivals in downtown, ranging from the wildly-popular Bonnie & Clyde Days and Christmas on the Square to our modest Pilot Point Markets. All are invited to come enjoy our events. Vendor Information
Dear Vendors,Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10th for the 16th Annual Bonnie and Clyde Days! We are working hard to bring back a bigger and better Bonnie and Clyde Days than ever before. We've had more than 5,000 people in attendance and we are working to make that number even larger this year. We are bringing back all of the old favorites including: Activities for the children Tribute bands on the Main Stage Pro Wrestling Match Model A cars We are also bringing some new activities that are sure to impress. Reserve your spot now to ensure that you will have excellent access to the crowds throughout the day. Many of our vendors last year were pleasantly surprised with the amount of sales they had over the course of the day, and some even ran out of merchandise and supplies before closing time. Online vendor registration will open in late summer.Sincerely, Jennifer NealPhone: 940-293-7434
