For Immediate Release Bonnie and Clyde Days to be Held October 10, 2026 in Pilot Point, Texas Family-Friendly FREE Festival to Feature Film Reenactment, Soap Box Challenge, Live Entertainment, Children’s Entertainment, Crafts, Food PILOT POINT, TEXAS – Pilot Point’s Main Street Program announced that its 16th-annual Bonnie and Clyde Days Festival will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 on the Historic Pilot Point Square. The festival starts at 2 p.m. and runs through 9 p.m. LOCATION: Pilot Point, Texas is 11 miles north of Denton on 377. BACKGROUND: The annual festival is held to commemorate the day Hollywood Came to Pilot Point, when the Warner Bros film “Bonnie and Clyde” shot its famous bank robbery scene at the historic Farmers & Merchants Bank Building. Filming occurred in 1967 for the classic film, which starred Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. In addition to the movie filming, Pilot Point was a known hideout of the REAL Bonnie and Clyde and the Barrow Gang. Local legend has it that a family member lived in the area and offered the gang a safe haven. BANK ROBBERY RE-ENACTMENT: The featured event – the annual “Bank Robbery Scene Reenactment”, will be a must-see event! Times to be released. This year's Reenactment is proudly championed by FMB Legacy and directed by Starbright Center for the Arts. FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS: During the all-day festival, Pilot Point becomes a piece of living history with 1930's-era family fun! Festivalgoers step back in time with a fleet of Model As. Attendees enjoy family fun, pie-eating contest, craft and food vendors, live musical entertainment throughout the day, and a FREE Kids Zone featuring a Ninja Project Obstacle Course, Rollcade Game Truck Kids Zone and a face painter. At Starbright Center for the Arts, the film will be showing all day on their movie screen and they will have a History Walk with information on the filming during the festival. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, including local musicians, dance troupes and more! CONCERT DETAILS: This year, we are mixing it up with a selection of Tribute Bands! Be at the Main Stage for Reputation: the Taylor Swift Tribute Band, followed by Hotel Mac Doobie, a band performing the best of the 1970s! They are supported by performances by local artists Vince Lujan and Tabitha Tepfer and students from the Starbright Center for the Arts.
