Long Beach Man Arrested, Charged with Domestic Battery
A Long Beach man was arrested yesterday, April 7, and charged with domestic battery following an incident reported at a residence on Ocean Drive. Monroe County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance late Tuesday evening in the island community.
According to reports from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at the scene to find evidence consistent with a physical altercation. Following an investigation, 34-year-old Mark Jensen of Long Beach was taken into custody. He has been charged with domestic battery, a misdemeanor offense.
Jensen was transported to the Monroe County Detention Center, where he was booked and processed. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing, which is expected to take place later today, April 8, at the historic Monroe County Courthouse.
