A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Coastal Gulf, specifically Port Saint Joe and Cape San Blas, as of October 9 at 11:05 AM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL. Immediate action is required to ensure safety.

Strong tropical storm force winds of 35-45 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph, are expected until early Saturday morning. The National Weather Service warns of potential winds up to 73 mph. Residents should have completed all last-minute preparations to protect life and property. Now is the time to shelter from dangerous winds.

Life-threatening storm surge of 4-7 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning, with potential for localized flooding greater than 6 feet. All ordered evacuations should be complete, and evacuees must be in shelters away from surge areas. Remain sheltered in a safe location and move to upper floors if water rises.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 3-6 inches of rain expected, leading to potential major flooding. Evacuations and rescues are likely. Heed all flood watches and warnings.

The threat of tornadoes has increased, with conditions highly favorable for multiple tornadoes. Move quickly to the safest place within your shelter if a tornado warning is issued. This alert is effective until October 9, 2026, 7:15 PM UTC.
