A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Coastal Gulf, including Port Saint Joe and Cape San Blas, with immediate action required due to hazardous winds, life-threatening storm surge, major flooding, and potential tornadoes.

A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Coastal Gulf, specifically impacting Port Saint Joe and Cape San Blas, as of October 9 at 5:05 PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL. Residents are urged to shelter immediately from hazardous winds and life-threatening storm surge.

Tropical Storm force winds, with peak gusts up to 70 mph, are expected until early Saturday morning. Last-minute property protection efforts should be completed now. A life-threatening storm surge of 4-7 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning. All ordered evacuations should be complete, and evacuees should be in safe shelters. Remain sheltered and do not venture outside. If necessary, move to upper floors to escape rising water.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 1-3 inches of rain expected, potentially causing major flooding. Evacuations and rescues are likely. A Tornado Watch is also in effect, with conditions favorable for many tornadoes. Move quickly to the safest place within your shelter if a tornado warning is issued. The warning is effective until October 10, 2026, 1:15 AM UTC.
