TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Emergency Work on Broad Street at Crawford Avenue AUGUSTA, GA – September 14, 2026 – Augusta Utilities will conduct emergency work beginning this afternoon on Broad Street at the intersection of Crawford Avenue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, and a short detour will be in place while crews complete the necessary repairs. The traffic impacts are expected to continue through Friday, September 18, barring any unforeseen issues or complications. Motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible. Augusta Utilities appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as crews work safely and efficiently to complete these emergency repairs.

Augusta Recreation and Parks Announces Informal Community Meeting for Fleming Park Improvement Project

AUGUSTA, Ga. (Sept. 14, 2026) – Augusta Recreation and Parks will hold an Informal Community Meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at the Bernie Ward Community Center, 1941 Lumpkin Road. The meeting will update residents on the Fleming Park Improvement Project as the design nears completion. Department representatives will review the project’s status, the improvements included in the near-complete design, and the anticipated next steps. Residents, park users, and other community stakeholders are encouraged to attend and learn more about the project. Well # 14 Project Details This project involves the construction of Production Well No. 14 in the City of Patterson. The scope of work includes installing and sealing a conductor casing, drilling to a depth of more than 500 feet, and to improve public water supply. Project Status Conco West Inc was awarded the construction contract in June of 2022. Construction commenced the following month, the project is on schedule and is anticipated to be completed by end of October 2026. Funding Sources: Local (Water Fund)

Rogers Rd. DMC Bridge Project

Rogers Rd. Bridge Replacement at Delta Mendota Canal Project Project Details The City of Patterson is excited to inform you that the City has been awarded funding through the Highway Bridge Program, which is administered through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), for the replacement of the bridge on Rogers Road at the Delta Mendota Canal. The Project would replace the 110-foot-long, reinforced concrete "T-beam" bridge with a new 2-lane, 41-foot wide by 135-foot long single span bridge. The Project will construct the bridge substructure (foundations and abutment walls) to accommodate an ultimate bridge width of 65-feet (for a future widening of Rogers Road to a four-lane facility). The road approaches to the bridge will not be widened, but right of way will be needed to accommodate new access roads and detention basins to the Delta-Mendota Canal. Project Status The project is currently under design, with the necessary right-of-way certification in progress. Final design is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, and the project construction is anticipated in summer 2027, pending funding through the Caltrans Highway Bridge Program.

Sunset Court Improvements Project | Patterson, CA - Official Website Home Government Departments Engineering Services Capital Projects Division Sunset Court Improvements Project Sunset Court Improvements Project Project Details The Sunset Court Improvements Project is located along Sunset Court and intersects with Ward Avenue in the City of Patterson. The purpose of this project is to improve aging roadways and utility infrastructure, to enhance pedestrian accessibility and roadway safety within the project area. This project consists of construction of roadway improvements along Sunset Court in the City of Patterson. The work includes installation of 175 linear feet of water main, valves, water services, fire hydrants, and related appurtenances. The project also includes construction of one sewer manhole and connection of the existing sanitary sewer to the new manhole. Street improvements include removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalk with subgrade, and one ADA curb ramp, valley gutter, aggregate base, hot mix asphalt concrete, and thermoplastic striping, markings, and markers. This is an effort to maintain and improve roadway safety within the City of Patterson. All construction work will be done within the City of Patterson right-of-way. Project Status Platinum General Engineering Inc was awarded the construction contract April 2026. Construction commenced May 2026.

I-5/Sperry Avenue Interchange Project

I-5/Sperry Avenue Interchange Project | Patterson, CA - Official Website Project Details This project is currently in the design phase. The project involves converting the I-5 SB and I-5 NB on/off ramps at Sperry Avenue to signal control with split phasing sequence. The geometry proposed involves modifying the I-5 SB ramps intersection to include an exclusive left and a shared left, through and right lane at the southbound off ramp, an exclusive left lane and a shared left and through lane at the westbound approach and two through lanes with a shared right turn lane at the eastbound approach. At the I-5 NB Ramps intersection, the lane geometry modification involved providing a shared left and through lane and two exclusive right turn lanes at the northbound off ramp, two through lanes and an exclusive right turn lane with a right turn channelized island at the westbound approach and a shared left and through lane and exclusive through lane at the eastbound approach. Sperry Avenue will be modified to a four-lane roadway (east-west bound) requiring the existing 2-lane bridge over the California Aqueduct to be widened to four-lanes by adding an additional lane on either side of the existing bridge. The outer abutments to accommodate the proposed two additional bridge lanes are existing. The Sperry Road/Rogers Road intersection is currently being modified to provide an exclusive left turn lane, a shared left and right turn lane and an exclusive right turn lane for the southbound approach. The eastbound approach will be modified to provide two exclusive left turn lanes and two through lanes and the westbound approach will be provided to provide two through lanes with a shared right turn lane. This work is being constructed by private development to extend Rogers Road south of Sperry Avenue and will be completed prior to this project starting construction. Project Status Due to funding constraints, the project is being delivered in phases. Phase 1 is currently in design and is approximately 90% complete. This phase focuses on addressing immediate traffic and safety needs by: Installing traffic signals at the interchange. Adding a second left-turn lane at the southbound I-5 on-ramp. Structure work at the interchange The City of Patterson is working closely with Caltrans and Stanislaus County to advance the project and is actively pursuing grant funding to construct Phase 1 and future improvements. Local Roadway Safety Plan | Patterson, CA - Official Website Skip to Main Content Home Government Departments Engineering Services Capital Projects Division Local Roadway Safety Plan Local Roadway Safety Plan Project Details The City of Patterson was awarded $72,000 of funding through the Department of Transportation for the Local Roadway Safety Plan Program for the Patterson Local Roadway Safety Plan Project. This project will address mobility and transportation safety concerns throughout Patterson. The purpose of this project is to evaluate current conditions, identify potential roadway hazards, and utilize historical collision data to help prevent traffic fatalities and improve the safety of motorized and non-motorized stakeholders who utilize public right-of-way roadways. Federal regulations require each State has a Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). An SHSP is a statewide data-driven traffic safety plan that coordinates the efforts of a wide range of organizations to reduce traffic accident fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads. In coordination with federal, state, local, and private sector safety stakeholders, the SHSP establishes goals, objectives, and emphasis (or challenge) areas. The SHSP addresses the 4Es of traffic safety: Engineering, Enforcement, Education, and Emergency Services. While the SHSP is used as a statewide approach for improving roadway safety, A Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) can be a means for providing local and rural road owners with an opportunity to address unique highway safety needs in their jurisdictions while contributing to the success of the SHSP. The process of preparing an LRSP creates a framework to systematically identify and analyze safety problems and recommend safety improvements. Preparing an LRSP facilitates the development of local agency partnerships and collaboration, resulting in a prioritized list of improvements and actions that can demonstrate a defined need and contribute to the statewide plan. The LRSP offers a proactive approach to addressing safety needs and demonstrates agency responsiveness to safety challenges. The City of Patterson is committed to improving the transportation safety needs of its stakeholders. Requests For Proposals (RFP) for Engineering and Design Services were prepared and advertised in the Patterson Irrigator, on the City's website, and on the CIPList.com. The City received several proposals from qualified professional consulting firms. The proposals received were evaluated using the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual Exhibit 10-B. After considerable evaluation and review, TJKM was selected as the best firm for this project. Project Status The Local Roadway Safety Plan has been completed and was brought to City Council for acceptance and implementation on September 5, 2023. Sperry Avenue serves as an important east-west corridor within the City and functions as a minor arterial roadway, providing connectivity to residential neighborhoods, schools, parks, and other community destinations. The project aims to upgrade the existing sidewalks into dedicated, physically separated bike paths to improve bicycle access, safety and multimodal connectivity throughout the corridor. 6B E Street Waterline Replacement and 9th Street Improvements Project | Patterson, CA - Official Website 6B E Street Waterline Replacement and 9th Street Improvements Project Project Details The 6B E Street Waterline Replacement and 9th Street Improvements Project will replace aging water infrastructure and construct associated roadway improvements along 9th Street. The waterline portion of the project includes installation of new potable water mains, non-potable water main improvements, new water services, meter connections, fire hydrants, valves, connections to the existing water system, and abandonment of existing water infrastructure that will be taken out of service. The project consists of the installation of approximately 13,760 linear feet of 6-inch PVC watermain, 2,345 linear feet of 8-inch PVC watermain, 2,950 linear feet of 10-inch PVC watermain, and 3,150 linear feet of 10-inch non potable watermain. The 9th Street improvements portion of the project includes roadway reconstruction between Las Palmas Avenue and Sperry Avenue, concrete improvements, curb ramps, driveway approaches, utility adjustments, signing, and striping. Project Status Taylor Backhoe Services, Inc. was awarded the construction contract in June 2026. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and is anticipated to be completed by January 2028. Residents and businesses within the project area may experience temporary construction-related impacts during this period. Project updates will be provided as work progresses. The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation during construction and is committed to minimizing disruptions whenever possible. What to Expect During Construction Construction will occur in phases, so not all streets within the project area will be under construction at the same time. Residents may experience temporary traffic delays, lane or street closures, parking restrictions, construction noise and dust, temporary driveway or property access restrictions, and planned water service interruptions. Residents whose driveway or property access will be temporarily restricted will receive at least 48 hours' advance notice, and residents affected by planned water service interruptions will receive at least five days' advance notice. ATP Master Plan

ATP Master Plan Project Details The City of Patterson was awarded funds through the Active Transportation Program Funding Cycle 4 to develop a Citywide Active Transportation Plan. The purpose of this project was to identify pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure deficiencies throughout Patterson, recommend solutions, and addresses future Active Transportation expansion demands. The plan adheres to StanCOG’s 2013 Non-Motorized Transportation Master Plan recommendations, which will improve the development of Class I bike trails, sidewalk infrastructures, and pedestrian crossings throughout the community. The improvements identified by this plan will connect existing sections of the City’s bike trail network, increase connectivity to schools and other community destinations, and increase and encourage walking and bicycling connectivity activities while improving pedestrian safety, and air quality, and promoting the overall quality of life in Patterson. An ATP Citizens Advisory Team was developed to provide feedback and help with the decision-making process. Two community workshops were offered to discuss project details and timelines and to give community members and stakeholders the opportunity to engage and provide feedback. The workshops were held in the evenings. Workshop details and project updates were posted on the City’s website. Project Status The City of Patterson is excited to inform you that the Citywide Active Transportation Plan was presented to the City Council on April 5, 2022, and was approved. The ATP Master Plan is now considered active and official.

WQCF Phase 3A Expansion

WQCF Phase 3A Expansion About the Project The Wastewater Quality Control Facility (WQCF) Phase 3A Expansion Project is a critical infrastructure improvement initiative designed to accommodate the City’s projected population growth and the associated increase in wastewater treatment demand. The project will expand the treatment capacity of the facility while enhancing operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability. In addition to increasing treatment capacity, the project includes significant upgrades to aging infrastructure throughout the facility. Improvements will be made to both the primary and secondary treatment processes, including the rehabilitation and modernization of filtration and disinfection systems. These upgrades will improve treatment efficiency, optimize plant performance, enhance effluent quality, and ensure the facility continues to meet current and future regulatory requirements. As part of the Phase 3A Expansion Project, the existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system will be comprehensively upgraded to support the expanded treatment facilities and replace aging automation and control infrastructure. These enhancements will improve system reliability, cybersecurity, operational efficiency, and data accessibility while providing operators with advanced tools for process control, alarm management, trend analysis, and reporting. Project Status The project was awarded to Auburn Constructors on April 15,2025. The project is in construction and projected to be completed by end of 2027. Funding Sources: Local (Bond/CFD)
