6B E Street Waterline Replacement and 9th Street Improvements Project | Patterson, CA - Official Website 6B E Street Waterline Replacement and 9th Street Improvements Project Project Details The 6B E Street Waterline Replacement and 9th Street Improvements Project will replace aging water infrastructure and construct associated roadway improvements along 9th Street. The waterline portion of the project includes installation of new potable water mains, non-potable water main improvements, new water services, meter connections, fire hydrants, valves, connections to the existing water system, and abandonment of existing water infrastructure that will be taken out of service. The project consists of the installation of approximately 13,760 linear feet of 6-inch PVC watermain, 2,345 linear feet of 8-inch PVC watermain, 2,950 linear feet of 10-inch PVC watermain, and 3,150 linear feet of 10-inch non potable watermain. The 9th Street improvements portion of the project includes roadway reconstruction between Las Palmas Avenue and Sperry Avenue, concrete improvements, curb ramps, driveway approaches, utility adjustments, signing, and striping. Project Status Taylor Backhoe Services, Inc. was awarded the construction contract in June 2026. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and is anticipated to be completed by January 2028. Residents and businesses within the project area may experience temporary construction-related impacts during this period. Project updates will be provided as work progresses. The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation during construction and is committed to minimizing disruptions whenever possible. What to Expect During Construction Construction will occur in phases, so not all streets within the project area will be under construction at the same time. Residents may experience temporary traffic delays, lane or street closures, parking restrictions, construction noise and dust, temporary driveway or property access restrictions, and planned water service interruptions. Residents whose driveway or property access will be temporarily restricted will receive at least 48 hours' advance notice, and residents affected by planned water service interruptions will receive at least five days' advance notice.
