Strong thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected to impact Inland Volusia, Northern Lake, Orange, Seminole, and Brevard counties until 4:15 PM UTC today, October 3, 2026.
Residents in Inland Volusia, Northern Lake, Orange, Seminole, Inland Northern Brevard, and Mainland Northern Brevard counties should prepare for strong thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 50 mph. The National Weather Service (NWS) Melbourne FL issued a Special Weather Statement today, October 3, 2026, at 3:50 PM EDT, effective until 4:15 PM UTC (12:15 PM EDT).
Doppler radar at 3:50 PM EDT detected a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near Maytown to near Lake Jesup to near College Park. These storms are moving northwest at 30 mph.
The primary hazard is wind gusts up to 50 mph, which could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations expected to be impacted include Orlando, Deltona, Sanford, Titusville, and Apopka.
