Heat Advisory for SLO and Santa Barbara Beaches

A Heat Advisory has been issued for San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches, effective immediately until Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 PM PDT. Residents and visitors in these areas are advised to take precautions against elevated temperatures.
The National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard CA reports that temperatures between 80 to 95 degrees are expected. These conditions may lead to heat illnesses.
To mitigate the impact of the heat, the NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in an air-conditioned room, and staying out of direct sunlight. Additionally, residents are encouraged to check on relatives and neighbors, especially those who may be vulnerable to heat-related health issues.
