Heat Advisory Issued for SLO & Santa Barbara Coasts
A Heat Advisory has been issued for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches until Thursday, October 8 at 8 PM PDT, with temperatures up to 90 degrees expected.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. Residents are advised to take precautions against heat-related illnesses as temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit are expected.
The advisory is effective immediately, beginning October 7 at 9:41 AM PDT, and will remain in effect until 8:00 PM PDT on Thursday, October 8. This alert has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard CA.
To stay safe during this period of high heat, the NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in an air-conditioned room, and staying out of direct sunlight. Additionally, residents are encouraged to check on relatives and neighbors, particularly those who may be more vulnerable to heat.
