City Council to Consider Flexible Development for Medical Clinic on Turner Street

Staff Writer
April 9, 2026

Clearwater City Council is set to review a flexible development application for the conversion of a property at 375 Turner Street in downtown Clearwater into a medical clinic. The proposal, identified as FLD2025-10026, seeks approval for a Comprehensive Infill Redevelopment Project within the Institutional (I) District.

The existing building, which does not exceed 35 feet in height, will be accompanied by a modified parking lot featuring 57 off-street parking spaces. The applicant is requesting flexibility for reduced off-street parking based on a parking demand study, as well as reduced interior landscaping and landscape buffers along the property lines through a Comprehensive Landscape Program. These requests fall under various sections of the Community Development Code, including Section 2-1204.A., Section 3-1401.C., and Sections 3-1202.D., E., and G. of Article 4, Division 4.

This Level Two Application is currently listed with an "Agenda Ready" status, indicating it is prepared for an upcoming Council meeting at Clearwater City Hall. Residents interested in the project can review the details through the city's official channels.
