6th Grade Renaissance Students Visit Tallahassee
A group of 6th-grade students from Renaissance Charter School of Hollywood, situated in Broward County's beachside community, recently embarked on an educational trip to Tallahassee, offering them a firsthand look at Florida's state capital. The visit, which took place last week, provided students with an opportunity to explore various historical and governmental landmarks.
During their time in Tallahassee, the students toured the Historic Old Capitol Museum, gaining insights into Florida's political past. They also visited the current State Capitol building, observing the legislative process and learning about the functions of state government. The trip aimed to enhance their civics education and provide a tangible connection to the lessons learned in the classroom.
Chaperoned by teachers and parent volunteers, the students engaged in interactive exhibits and educational programs designed to deepen their understanding of Florida's history and governance. This annual excursion is a highlight for many Renaissance Charter School students, bringing a spark of statewide pride back to Hollywood's vibrant neighborhoods.
