Enterprising Latinas Celebrates 20 Years of Impact and Announces Leadership Transition [WIMAUMA, FL] – Enterprising Latinas is proud to announce its 20th Anniversary, commemorating two decades of unwavering commitment to the women and families of the Wimauma community. Founded on the principles of economic empowerment and community development, Enterprising Latinas has been a beacon of hope and opportunity, transforming lives and fostering a more equitable society. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we also announce a leadership transition. After years of dedicated service, Elizabeth Gutierrez will be retiring from her role. Her vision, passion, and tireless efforts have been instrumental in shaping Enterprising Latinas into the impactful organization it is today. We extend our deepest gratitude to Elizabeth for her extraordinary leadership and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Stepping into the role of CEO is Lisette Gonzalez, a seasoned leader with a proven track record of success. Lisette brings a wealth of experience in organizational management, strategic planning, and community engagement. Enterprising Latinas Announces New Leadership, Focus on Wimauma Women
Enterprising Latinas Announces New Board Leadership and Strategic Initiatives TAMPA, FL (May 15, 2024) – Enterprising Latinas is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Gutierrez as Board Chair. Ms. Gutierrez brings extensive experience in community development and financial management to the role. Enterprising Latinas also welcomes Ivette Maya Fernández and Maria D. Gonzalez as new board members. Ms. Fernández is a seasoned entrepreneur, and Ms. Gonzalez is a leader in the non-profit sector. These appointments reflect Enterprising Latinas’ commitment to strong governance and strategic leadership as the organization embarks on several strategic initiatives to promote economic empowerment for women in the Wimauma area. Ms. Gutierrez stated, “I am honored to serve as Board Chair and look forward to working with the board and staff to expand our reach and impact.” Enterprising Latinas’ strategic initiatives for 2024-2025 include: * Expanding access to capital for women-owned businesses through micro-lending and grant programs. * Developing new workforce development programs in high-demand industries such as healthcare and technology. * Strengthening partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to create a supportive ecosystem for Latina entrepreneurs. * Increasing advocacy efforts to address systemic barriers to economic opportunity. Elizabeth Gutierrez has over 15 years of experience in community development and financial management. She is a certified public accountant and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Ivette Maya Fernández is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record of success in the retail industry. She is the founder and CEO of a successful online retail business. Maria D. Gonzalez is a leader in the non-profit sector with over 20 years of experience in program development and fundraising. She is currently the Executive Director of a local community foundation focusing on education initiatives.

Dutch Bros raises over $1.8M for Florida youth organizations
GRANTS PASS, Ore. (May 28, 2024) – Dutch Bros Coffee and its customers banded together to support local youth organizations, raising more than $1.8 million at its annual Drink One for Dane fundraiser. All 1,850+ Dutch Bros locations participated in the 17th annual giveback, donating proceeds from every drink sold on May 17 to nonprofits focused on youth development and well-being. “We are so thankful for the generosity of our customers,” said Christine Barone, chief executive officer at Dutch Bros Coffee. “They showed up in a big way to support youth in their communities. It’s truly amazing to see the impact of Drink One for Dane grow each year and continue to honor Dane’s legacy.” Drink One for Dane began in 2007 in memory of Dane Boersma, one of the co-founders of Dutch Bros, who passed away from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Each year, the Dutch Bros family celebrates his life by giving back to the communities he loved. Over the years, Drink One for Dane has raised more than $15 million. This year, funds were distributed to more than 400 local organizations. Selected nonprofits focus on providing services and programs for youth, ranging from education and mentorship to athletics and arts.
