6th Grade Renaissance Students Visit Tallahassee
A group of 6th-grade students from Renaissance Charter School of Hollywood recently embarked on an educational trip to Tallahassee, offering them a firsthand look at Florida's state capital far from the beaches of their Hollywood home. The visit, which took place last week, provided students with an opportunity to explore various historical and governmental landmarks.
During their time in Tallahassee, the students toured the Historic Old Capitol Museum, gaining insights into Florida's political past. They also visited the current State Capitol building, observing the legislative process and learning about the functions of state government. This trip is a long-standing tradition for Renaissance Charter School's 6th-grade class, aiming to connect classroom learning with real-world civic engagement.
Parents and community members in the Hollywood area interested in learning more about future school trips or educational initiatives at Renaissance Charter School of Hollywood can contact the school office directly during regular business hours.
