A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Eastern Orleans Parish, specifically Lake Catherine, effective immediately as of October 7 at 1:00 PM CDT by the National Weather Service in New Orleans. Residents should prepare for hazardous wind, potential life-threatening storm surge, and localized flooding.
Wind speeds are forecast between 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Property protection efforts should be underway now. Act to complete preparations before winds become hazardous.
