Residents in Orange County Inland Areas are advised to take immediate precautions as an Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Diego CA. The warning is effective from 3:38 PM PDT today, October 6, and will remain in effect until 8:00 PM PDT on Thursday, October 8.

Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with high temperatures ranging from the mid-90s to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Overnight lows will be very warm, remaining in the low 70s. These conditions significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.

The NWS advises all residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and remain out of the sun. It is also critical to check on relatives and neighbors during this period. Never leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles, as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures rapidly.
