An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for Orange County Coastal Areas until Thursday, October 8, with dangerous temperatures and increased risk of heat-related illnesses.
An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for Orange County Coastal Areas, effective immediately until Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 PM PDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) San Diego CA warns of dangerously hot conditions.
High temperatures are expected to range from the mid-80s to mid-90s. Overnight low temperatures will remain very warm, in the upper 60s to low 70s. These conditions significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and stay out of the sun. Check on relatives and neighbors during this period. It is critical to never leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles, as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures rapidly.
