An Extreme Heat Warning for San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside County areas has expired as of 8:00 PM PDT tonight, October 8, 2026, according to the National Weather Service.

The Extreme Heat Warning for coastal areas, valleys, and the Santa Ana Mountains in San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties has officially expired as of 8:00 PM PDT tonight, October 8, 2026. This expiration was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Diego, CA.

Temperatures are expected to continue to lower on Friday across the affected coastal areas, valleys, and the Santa Ana Mountains. The NWS allowed the Extreme Heat Warning to expire as scheduled at 8:00 PM PDT this evening.
