Okaloosa Coastal Areas, FL - An Extreme Storm Surge Warning is in effect for Okaloosa Coastal areas, including Destin, Eglin AFB, and Fort Walton Beach, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile AL this morning, October 9, at 6:53 AM CDT. This warning is immediate and critical, advising residents to take action now.
Life-threatening storm surge of 6-9 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning.
