North Port Commission Proclaims Fire Prevention Week Oct. 4-10

The North Port City Commission will officially recognize Fire Prevention Week Oct. 4-10, 2026, during its regular meeting. The commission is scheduled to present a proclamation to the North Port Fire Rescue Department during the Oct. 1 meeting at 4 p.m. The annual observance aims to raise community awareness of fire safety and prevention measures.

Fire Prevention Week is a national event encouraging individuals and families to learn more about fire safety. The North Port Fire Rescue Department will share additional information and activities closer to the event.
