Miami residents faced breezy conditions Wednesday as Atlantic winds gusted to 20 mph and temperatures climbed above seasonal averages. Scattered showers brought relief from earlier dry weather, with moisture expected to drift northward through the week.
Thursday morning rain will give way to afternoon sunshine, with highs near 90 degrees. A tropical flow and eastward-drifting high pressure will drive humidity Friday through Saturday.
A cold front approaching from the northwest will bring wind and rain to South Florida this weekend. Gusts could reach 30-35 mph by early next week, creating dangerous marine conditions off Key Biscayne and rough seas for boaters. Conditions should improve by Wednesday.
