A Classic Theatre Presents 'Rounding Third' in St. Augustine

Join us when A Classic Theatre Presents Rounding Third.   Friday-Sunday, May 1-3 & 8-10, 2026.   Not suitable for very young audiences. About the Play by Richard Dresser | Directed by Rick Cirucci | Assisted by Harolyn Sharpe A comical journey of two Little League coaches through an entire season, from their first tentative meeting to the climactic championship game. A stand-in for the team, the coaches speak directly to the audience about competition, character, punctuality, and the importance of wearing the right equipment. Don is the tough, blue-collar, win-at-all-costs veteran coach whose son is the star pitcher. Michael, a corporate executive and newcomer to both the town and baseball, agrees to be Don’s assistant in order to have a special activity with his son, who’s never played baseball before. Michael believes coaching is all about everyone having a good time, Don thinks it’s about teaching the kids to win. This is where the play takes off and real issues emerge. How should we raise our kids? Do we teach them that winning is everything or protect their childhood as long as possible? In facing these questions, both men also grapple with their own lives and inner conflicts of what being a dad is all about. Performance Dates | Times: Friday, May 1        —  7:30pm Saturday, May 2    —  4:00pm Sunday, May 3      —  2:00pm Friday, May 8       —  7:30pm Saturday, May 9   —  4:00pm Sunday, May 10   —  2:00pm Where: The Waterworks Cost:  Adult $25.00 | Student $15.00 Click the event website link to purchase your tickets and for all of the details. Dutch Bros raises over $1.8M for Florida youth organizations

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (May 28, 2024) – Dutch Bros Coffee and its customers banded together to support local youth organizations, raising more than $1.8 million at its annual Drink One for Dane fundraiser. All 1,850+ Dutch Bros locations participated in the 17th annual giveback, donating proceeds from every drink sold on May 17 to nonprofits focused on youth development and well-being. “We are so thankful for the generosity of our customers,” said Christine Barone, chief executive officer at Dutch Bros Coffee. “They showed up in a big way to support youth in their communities. It’s truly amazing to see the impact of Drink One for Dane grow each year and continue to honor Dane’s legacy.” Drink One for Dane began in 2007 in memory of Dane Boersma, one of the co-founders of Dutch Bros, who passed away from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Each year, the Dutch Bros family celebrates his life by giving back to the communities he loved. Over the years, Drink One for Dane has raised more than $15 million. This year, funds were distributed to more than 400 local organizations. Selected nonprofits focus on providing services and programs for youth, ranging from education and mentorship to athletics and arts. About Dutch Bros Coffee Dutch Bros Coffee is a drive-thru coffee company dedicated to making a massive difference one cup at a time.
