Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick escaped a dramatic last-lap crash Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, retaining their second and third-place finishes, respectively. The collision occurred as Larson, driving a Kyle Busch tribute car, challenged for the lead.
Larson lost traction exiting Turn 4 and hit the wall. Reddick, running closely behind, made contact with Larson, sending his No. 45 Jordan Brand Toyota spinning into the infield grass.
Despite significant damage, Larson drove his damaged Chevrolet across the finish line in second. Reddick navigated the grass and pit road to secure third. NASCAR officials confirmed Reddick's position would stand.
Both drivers had overcome earlier race challenges. Larson recovered after being a lap down due to handling issues, and Reddick dealt with alternator problems.
"I just got really loose and overcorrected it into the wall," Larson said. "Thankfully, I was able to limp it home. I wish I could have won in this paint scheme while honoring Kyle because that would have been in very Kyle Busch fashion, but again, it was a great fight by this team."
Reddick added, "Just one thing after another for us. Just really proud of everyone's effort on this Jordan Brand Toyota Camry."
