A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Southern Liberty, including Central City and the Apalachicola National Forest, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee, FL. The warning is effective immediately, as of October 9 at 5:05 PM EDT, and expires October 10 at 1:15 AM UTC.

Residents in affected areas must prepare for hazardous wind, potential major flooding, and numerous tornadoes. Peak winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected, with a potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Complete all property protection efforts immediately and move to safe shelter before hazardous winds begin.

An additional 2-4 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, is forecast, prompting a Flood Watch. Major rainfall flooding is likely, potentially leading to evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings; failure to act could result in serious injury or loss of life. A Tornado Watch is also in effect, indicating a very favorable situation for multiple tornadoes. Those in manufactured homes or on boats should relocate to safe shelter. Listen for tornado warnings and be ready to shelter quickly if issued.
