A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Liberty County, including Hosford and Bristol, effective immediately until 7:00 AM UTC on October 10, 2026. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee, FL, urges residents to move to safe shelter before hazardous winds arrive.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph are expected, with potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Prepare for limited wind damage, including to porches, awnings, and unanchored mobile homes. Scattered power outages are possible. Complete all property protection efforts as soon as possible.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 1-3 inches of rain expected, locally higher. Major flooding is possible, which may prompt evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings; failure to act could result in serious injury or loss of life. A Tornado Watch is also active, indicating conditions are favorable for several tornadoes, some potentially intense. Those in manufactured homes or on boats should relocate to safe shelter. Listen for tornado warnings and be ready to shelter quickly if one is issued.

No significant storm surge is expected. For more information, visit weather.gov/tallahassee or floridadisaster.org.
