A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Liberty, including the communities of Hosford and Bristol, effective immediately as of October 9 at 5:05 PM EDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee, FL, warns residents to prepare for hazardous winds, potential major flooding, and numerous tornadoes.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph are expected, with the potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. All efforts to protect property should be completed as soon as possible, and residents must move to safe shelter before winds become hazardous. Damage to unanchored mobile homes, large tree limbs, and some power outages are possible.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 3-6 inches of rainfall anticipated, potentially leading to major flooding. Evacuations and rescues are likely in flood-prone areas. Rivers and tributaries may overflow, and many roads could become impassable. Heed all flood watches and warnings.

A Tornado Watch is also in effect, indicating a very favorable situation for numerous tornadoes, some potentially intense. Those in manufactured homes or on boats are urged to relocate to safe shelter. Listen for tornado watches and warnings and be ready to shelter quickly if a warning is issued. This warning is active until October 10, 2026, at 1:15 AM UTC.
