A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Southern Liberty, effective immediately until October 10, 2026, at 7:00 AM UTC. This warning, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee FL, includes Central City and the Apalachicola National Forest. Residents are urged to complete all preparations and move to safe shelter as hazardous conditions are imminent.

Expect winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, with a potential for sustained winds of 39-57 mph. Limited damage to property and trees is possible, with scattered power outages. Avoid driving on elevated roadways. While no storm surge inundation is forecast, rough surf and rip currents are possible along the coast.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with potential for major flooding from additional rainfall around 1 inch. Extensive flooding may lead to evacuations and rescues. Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads. Additionally, a Tornado Watch is in effect, indicating a favorable situation for several tornadoes, some potentially intense. Those in manufactured homes or on boats should relocate to safe shelter. Listen for tornado watches and warnings and be ready to shelter quickly.
