Joan Victoria Butler, a devoted caregiver and cherished friend, died peacefully at her home in Lake Worth Beach on Sept. 26, 2026. She was 92.
Born in New York City on Dec. 17, 1933, to Alfred and Emma Bose, Butler dedicated her life to her family and a wide circle of friends. She deeply loved animals and was known for her bright spirit, infectious laugh and enjoyment of life. She found pleasure walking along the Lake Worth Pier and tending her garden.
Butler’s husband, Richard P. Butler, and her parents, Alfred and Emma Bose, preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Louis Bose, and many long-term friends and loving family members.
Her family remembers her as free from earthly constraints and reunited with her parents and husband. Butler’s legacy is one of deep care, laughter and a profound connection to those she loved, including her many pets. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
