A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Coastal Gulf, specifically Port Saint Joe and Cape San Blas, as of 10:57 PM EDT, October 9, issued by NWS Tallahassee FL. Residents are urged to shelter immediately from hazardous winds and life-threatening storm surge.

Tropical Storm force winds, with peak gusts up to 65 mph, are expected through the next few hours. Last-minute property protection efforts should be complete. Unfolding impacts from these winds are anticipated.

Life-threatening storm surge of 3-5 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning. Flood preparations and ordered evacuations should be complete, and evacuees must be in safe shelters. Remain sheltered in a safe location and do not venture outside.

A Flood Watch is in effect with an additional 1 inch of rainfall expected. Major flooding is possible, leading to potential evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings.

A Tornado Watch is also in effect. The situation is favorable for several tornadoes. Stay in your shelter, remain informed, and move quickly to the safest place if a tornado warning is issued. These alerts are effective until 7:00 AM UTC, October 10.
