Severe Thunderstorm Warning Expires for Grant, Luna, Sierra Counties

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Grant, Luna, and Sierra counties has expired as of 9:30 AM MDT, September 29. The National Weather Service (NWS) El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM reported that the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.

While the severe threat has passed, residents in these areas should still be aware that gusty winds and heavy rain remain possible with this thunderstorm. There are no immediate actions required for residents related to a severe thunderstorm threat at this time.
