Clearwater Nurse Buys First Home via Habitat for Humanity
Ahliayha Love, a licensed practical nurse at Abundant Life Homecare, will move into her first home through Habitat for Humanity's Sandhill project in Clearwater.
Love, a single mother of two, learned of her acceptance at the project's groundbreaking ceremony. "I cried and thanked God for this opportunity. I didn't think it was possible for me," she said. For years, she moved between rentals, dealing with safety concerns and rising costs since she began renting at 18.
Love has worked in healthcare since 2014. She spent ten years as a certified nursing assistant before earning her licensed practical nurse credential from ATA Career Education.
Love's children, A'Mora, 6, and Braedyn, 3, motivated the push for homeownership. The new home will give her family the stability she said they need to grow.
