Carole June Nordberg, a longtime Titusville resident, died Sept. 29, 2026. She was 85.

Born July 8, 1941, in Nashville, Illinois, to Cecil Willis and Bernice Seyler, Nordberg dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent 40 years in San Diego, California, where she earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University and worked as a psychiatric nurse. She served at Camp Pendleton and Tri-City Hospital, and was known for her parties for Marines at Camp Pendleton.

Nordberg moved to Titusville seven years ago with her husband, David. She will be remembered for her fun-loving nature, organization, and sense of humor. She deeply loved animals, with her cat, Mr. Cat, often at her side. She enjoyed their porch overlooking the Indian River Lagoon.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Henry Nordberg; her close friend and neighbor, Natasha Kelley; and Mr. Cat. In accordance with her wishes, Nordberg will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
