Residents and visitors in Coastal Nassau, Coastal Flagler, Northeast Coastal St. Johns, Southeast Coastal St. Johns, Coastal Glynn, and Coastal Camden counties are advised of a Rip Current Statement and Coastal Flood Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Jacksonville FL.

A High Rip Current Risk is in effect through late Saturday night, October 11, at 6:00 AM EDT. Dangerous rip currents are expected during this period. For your safety, swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Do not swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If you cannot escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is also in effect until 5 PM EDT on Thursday, October 9. Minor coastal flooding is anticipated, potentially impacting lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

This advisory was issued on October 7, 2026, at 11:32 AM EDT.
