**Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 23 at 4:14PM MST until September 23 at 4:30PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ**

At 414 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located over the Interstate 17 and State Route 179 junction, or 12 miles southeast of Sedona. This storm was stationary.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Bell Crossing/The Crack, Wet Beaver Creek Day Use Area, Wet Beaver Wilderness, Munds Mountain Wilderness and Crane Petroglyph Heritage Site.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 17 between mile markers 298 and 309. State Route 179 between mile markers 299 and 300.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Wet Beaver Creek Campground.

This includes the following swimming holes... Wet Beaver Creek Day Use Area.

**What You Should Do:**

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and large hail.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
