The watch is set to expire on October 9 at 6:00 AM CDT.

The NWS forecasts peak winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, with a potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Property protection efforts should be underway. Expect limited damage to structures like porches and sheds, along with downed tree limbs and potential power outages. Hazardous driving conditions are possible on bridges and elevated roadways.
