Washington County closes offices July 2-6 for Independence Day

Washington County government offices will close July 2, 3, and 6 to observe the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Board of County Commissioners announced Monday.

County employees will return to work Tuesday, July 7. Essential public safety and emergency services will remain operational during the closure.

Governor Ron DeSantis granted state employees the additional days off for the America's 250 celebration. The Planning Commission will not meet in July.

Residents needing in-person assistance should plan ahead. For information on office closures, call the Board of County Commissioners at 850-638-6200 or visit www.washingtonfl.com.
