Residents in northeastern Lewis County, Kentucky, and southwestern Scioto County, Ohio, are advised to immediately move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH. This warning is in effect until 5:15 PM EDT today, September 20.

At 4:49 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of Rome, moving southeast at 25 mph. The primary hazards associated with this storm are 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, as indicated by radar. Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible, and wind damage to trees and power lines is expected.
