Tampa's 11-Story Gallery at Rome Yards Tops Out
The City of Tampa and Related Urban marked the structural completion of Gallery at Rome Yards on Tuesday, placing the final beam atop the 11-story residential tower in the West River neighborhood.
The first phase will deliver 234 residential units: 58 for households earning at or below 20% of Area Median Income, 126 for those earning up to 80% AMI, and 50 for workforce households earning up to 140% AMI. The remaining units include five live/work spaces for small business owners.
The development will also house a 3,800-square-foot workforce training center operated by West Tampa Community Development Corporation and Related Urban.
Mayor Jane Castor said the project expands housing options and reconnects communities through strategic investment. "Gallery at Rome Yards represents the kind of thoughtful, inclusive development our city needs," she said.
The full Rome Yards redevelopment spans 18 acres and will ultimately contain approximately 954 residential units, townhomes, retail and commercial space. Across all phases, roughly 73% of units will be affordable or workforce housing, with the remainder at market rate.
All residential units will meet the same quality standards regardless of income level. The project includes 230 structured parking spaces and sustainable design features targeting green building certification.
Gallery at Rome Yards is scheduled to open in July 2027.
