Wind Advisory Issued for Western MA: Gusts Up to 45 MPH Expected
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Western Massachusetts until noon today, with gusts up to 45 mph expected, posing risks for drivers and potentially causing power outages.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for Western Franklin, Eastern Franklin, Western Hampshire, Western Hampden, and Eastern Hampshire counties, effective immediately until 12:00 PM EDT today, September 27. The National Weather Service (NWS) Boston/Norton MA reports that northeast winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
These strong winds could make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Residents should exercise extra caution, especially while on the road.
