A Storm Surge Warning has been issued for Mobile Central, including Mobile, Prichard, and Theodore, effective immediately from the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile AL. This warning is in effect until 9:15 PM UTC today, October 9, 2026. Residents in these areas should complete all flood preparations and ordered evacuations without delay.

Life-threatening storm surge of 2-4 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning. Shelter against storm surge greater than 3 feet above ground.
