Forecasters anticipate peak winds of 25-35 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 55 mph. This level of wind can cause limited damage, including downed tree limbs, damage to unanchored structures, and scattered power outages. A Flood Watch is also in effect for Borrego Springs, with potential for around 1 inch of rain. The NWS warns of major flooding, which may necessitate evacuations and rescues.
